Eve was born to Trevor Eve (actor) and Sharon Maughan, a writer. She has two younger brothers Jack and George and was born in both the United Kingdom and Los Angeles United States. She went to Bedales School before taking her A Levels at Westminster School London. She studied English at St Catherine's College Oxford during the year of gap. She was born into a family of mixed races, having and Indo British father Anthony Mitra of British descent as well as an Irish-born Irish mom Nora Downey. Her mother is the middle child of a family with multiple races. Her older brother Jason Mitra, and her younger brother Guyan Mitra, are all English actors. The younger brother of Guyan Mitra, is a renowned travel writer whose work was featured by Lonely Planet as well as The Sunday Times.
